Ever bought a duplicate CD before? If so save money with Discoid!
Have you ever wished to carry a list of your CD or Record Collection around with you but never got around to it?
Well Discoid makes the task of cataloguing your collection a doddle, just simply scan in the barcode and you are away! If your item lacks a barcode you can match on the Catalog Number, Title, Artist or whatever!
Discoid uses Discogs huge collection of online data to supply artwork, track listings and background information to fully document your collection, what's more you can search on everything from musicians to track titles - you will be amazed where this can lead you!
What Else Can You Do With Discoid?
1) Created a Wanted List and update it as your browse.
2) View Statistics on your Music Collection, number of artists, titles, genre, style.
3) Display any Group, Album Cover, Label or Format Image full screen on your mobile and use Pinch and Zoom functionality to get up close and personal with your favourite artist or label - and you can save the image to your sd card if you wish.
4) View further info and video via links to wiki and youtube sites for each artist.
5) Search Discogs database for any Artist, Title, Label, Catalogue Id or Discogs Id you desire.
6) Import collections and wanted lists from Discogs into Discoid (NB/ XML file must be fetched from Discogs and placed on SD Card).
7) Use Discoid's extensive filtering to hunt down virtually any type of music media (from Cassettes to DVDs).
8) Export your database and exchange with other Discoid users.
9) Choose one of 7 colour themes.
NB/ For users with small screens I suggest you limit thumbnail size via the application menu.

The android market place offers no mechanism to replay to user comments but here's mine:-
*Comment: Integration with very weak DiscoGS I bought finding that the integration with the DiscoGS would be better, but is not The penalty was not valid
Reply: Discogs have promised but do not as yet provide an API to logon and update your online collection, that is why Discoid asks you to retrieve it manually.
*Comment: 'Total waste of money. It isn't right to be charging for this. Its pretty much unusable'.
Reply: From the comment I suspect some mobiles struggle to run this app, since I received no communication what so ever, I can not warn future customers or provided a refunded!
*Comment: Don't understand how to login, and I think you can't, you have to import your data yourself.
Reply: To import data you must first retrieve an xml file from Discogs, please read the online docs.
**Comment: Nur Discogs-Anbindung, sonst ok - Translates to "Only supports Discogs bindings, otherwise ok"
Reply: The documentation clearly mentions Discogs as the primary data source no other resources are mentioned?
